ResDiary vs Reserved
ResDiary vs Reserved. The honest comparison.
ResDiary has been the commission-free diary of choice for UK independents for years. It works — but the product hasn't moved. Reserved is the modern hospitality OS ResDiary customers keep asking for: same commission-free promise, dramatically better software.

Why restaurants switch from ResDiary
Common frustrations
- Dated interface that new staff struggle with.
- Fragmented add-ons — CRM, marketing and reviews are all separate modules.
- Slow, generic support.
- Limited automation and no modern AI.
- Plans cap monthly bookings — 150 on Connect, 450 on Express, 1,000 on Pro — with a £99 setup fee. Reserved includes 2,500 bookings at £199.
How Reserved solves them
- One product, one login, one bill.
- CRM and waitlist on Solo; marketing and ticketed events on Restaurant.
- Support from operators, not a call centre.
- AI guest-message drafting and follow-up assist built in.
Pricing
- Reserved
- Flat monthly. No cover fees. Migration included.
- ResDiary
- £89–£249/mo tiered by module; add-ons for CRM, marketing, reviews.
Who should choose each
- Choose Reserved if
- UK and EU operators who love the commission-free model but want software that feels current.
- Choose ResDiary if
- Very traditional venues that prefer a minimal diary and don't want CRM/marketing at all.
Real ROI example
A 6,500-cover/month gastropub consolidated 4 tools into Reserved and reclaimed 9 staff hours a week.
